George Brikis has Over 35 Years in Banking & Finance. Brikis has a Penn State Mining Engineering Degree, a Duquesne University MBA and 18 Years of experience at PNCBank primarily as EVP/Division Manager of Energy Lending, with significant time as the bank’s EVP/ Chief Credit Officer.

20142015 President of affiliated entity, DDS General Partner, LLC (“DDS-GP”), the General Partner of Distressed Debt Solutions, L.P. (“DDS”)

DDS acquires selective distressed debt from banks at a discount. DDS then teams with the borrower to try to achieve a successful turnaround and recapitalization (and refinancing) of the business.

 

1998-2000 - CFO, American Metals & Coal International (AMCI) – Greenwich, CT

 

Closely-held worldwide coal producer/marketer with total revenues in excess of $1 billion. Responsible for all aspects of financial management, risk management, and accounting administration. Key accomplishments: arrangement of a $125 million syndicated credit facility; raising of $15 million from a private equity investor for a project in Australia; arrangement of sale of 50% of a metals subsidiary to a public company; managed due diligence team and arranged financing for two $10-15 million acquisitions. Predecessor company to Alpha Natural Resources.

 

1981-1998 - Executive Vice President, PNCBank - Pittsburgh, PA

 

Steadily increasing responsibility over 17 year career in Corporate Banking/Credit Policy. Most recent key positions were: 1993-1996 EVP/ Chief Credit Officer for the Pittsburgh /Harrisburg /Erie market, at the time the largest segment of the organization. Served as Chairman of the Senior Loan Committee with ultimate responsibility for virtually all credit approvals. Had individual lending authority of $10 million. Managed a staff of over 125 individuals, with 10 direct reports covering all aspects of credit approval, credit administration, and workouts. Also personally responsible for coordinating OCC reviews. 1996-1998 EVP/Division Head for the Energy, Metals & Mining and Utilities segment of Corporate Banking/Capital Markets. Responsible for portfolio of over $3 billion in exposure.
